Are you interested in volunteering with The Beat Within?

The Beat Within runs primarily on the support of committed volunteers, both in our office and in the workshops in juvenile halls. We are always looking for people of all walks of life to be a part of our community. You do not need a background in juvenile justice or related issues, you do not need to be a great writer. All you need to have is an interest in the program and working with young people.

To work as a facilitator in juvenile hall you MUST be 21+, you must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 moths with the program and you must attend a mandatory training through The Beat Within.

We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers to help type the handwritten pieces from workshops. All of this work must be done in our downtown SF office, during work hours.
